In 1979, Ishaq Jahangiri became the head of Jihad Sazandegi in Jiroft, and in 1984 he started working in the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad. In the second term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly elections, he was elected as the representative of Jiroft and later re-elected in the next elections.
