The Munich Convention of National Cooperation to Save Iran

In recent days, two important events took place in the ongoing struggle for a free Iran: the Munich Convention of National Cooperation to Save Iran, focused on uniting opposition forces, and the Iran Revival Project, which aims to offer a forward-looking framework for rebuilding Iran’s future. Though differing in form and emphasis, both initiatives share a common objective: the transition from the Islamic Republic and the establishment of a free, secular, and democratic Iran.

The Munich Conference

Held on July 26, the Munich Conference was hosted by the Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and brought together over 500 participants representing what he called “the broadest and most diverse coalition of Iranian opposition forces ever assembled,” including political figures, artists, athletes in exile, families of victims, former political prisoners, civil society activists, and representatives of various opposition factions. The conference centered on key themes such as national cooperation, the need for alignment between opposition groups and Iranian society inside the country, and strategies for countering the Islamic Republic’s repression.

Messages from the Mothers Seeking Justice, were read aloud and deeply moved participants. The women who have lost their children to the Islamic Republic’s sham trials and political executions. Yet, their voices for justice remain as strong as ever. As one message stated:

“They killed our children, but not our voices. Our pursuit of justice cannot be silenced by death or by prison.”

The core mission of this initiative is to foster national cooperation among all patriotic, Iran-centered organizations and groups, to maximize support for the Iranian people’s freedom movement, and to exert maximum pressure on the Islamic Republic, all under the leadership of Prince Reza Pahlavi.

The Iran Revival Project: A Roadmap for a Post-Islamic Republic Iran

Simultaneously, another initiative — the Iran Revival Project — was launched online with the participation of scholars, activists, and young Iranians from both inside and outside the country. Unlike efforts solely focused on opposition to the regime, this project presents constructive proposals for Iran’s future — from the system of governance and education to economic policy and transitional justice.

The Iran Revival Project represents the fifth pillar of Prince Reza Pahlavi’s Five-Point Strategy for reclaiming and rebuilding Iran. It is being developed by experts under his guidance and oversight, with the recent publication of a key document: a provisional emergency governance plan for the first 100 to 180 days following the regime’s fall.
